Jane & Georgia attended her PIRATE PARTY...though Jane insisted in sticking with the Astronaut Chicken costume...Daddy, however, was quite content in the Jack Sparrow Special (thank u to George Motz)...

PubliColor Paint Party: J & G Paint for Charity!

Our good friend Ruth Shuman runs an amazing non-prof called PubliColor that paints public schools in vibrant colors and mentors the kids who need the most help. This past Saturday, we all painted a school uptown. Jane and Georgia loved it. Thanks to all of our friends who joined us....

I finished work on the NYC Food Film Festival...an amazing 7 days of Food, Film and Fun...with a little rain mixed in.
Father's Day 2009 kicks off my days of being a dad again. But here are some pix from the Festival...

Well...Daddy's been workin hard to get the Festival together. Just 1 more week, then I'm back home taking pictures of kids and making mac n cheese again.

If u r in NYC over the next 7 days, make sure u come to the NYC Food Film Festival. Most nights include free films and free food. Watch films about food, then eat the food you see in the films. Its the brilliant creation of Hamburger America genius George Motz.

Food Post: Buttermilk Channel's Pecan Pie Sundae

Ok, every now and then I'll post about a non-twin item...specifically because we take the very few moments that we are out without them very seriously. We like to make sure that wherever we go and whatever we eat is great. So, last night we hit Buttermilk Channel in Carroll Gardens with Nazli for her birthday (yeah it was like 6 months ago). The meal was great and well-priced, but the dessert took the cake. 1 of the greatest desserts I've ever had...What you need to know is that when the pecan pie is mashed together to go in the cup, all these thick chunky chewy morsels of pie/crust/goo are formed. and they perfectly decompress in your mouth when u chew them. This is my new desSert island dish.

BREAKING NEWS: The Kessler Twins Have Left the NICU...

And are headed for San Diego!

We hope that they stop to enjoy a nice double-double from In-N-Out or a fish taco from Rubio's along the way.

Here are the 2 most recent shots we have of them. That's Charlotte with the feeding tube (now removed) and Oliver fast asleep. In case you don't know the story...Kesslers found surrogate mom in Cali, born at 29 weeks, transferred to Loma Linda, in NICU for 10 weeks, now bound for San Diego to stay with Brandon's parents, hope to be back in Brooklyn before the end of January.

Jane & Georgia have been talking about them for a few weeks now. They say "Charlotte" easily, but "Oliver" is proving to be a bit harder to remember.

We can't wait til they're all back in NYC.
So we send big love from the Unger 4 to the...are u ready?...KESSLER 5!
