Jane & Georgia Give 2 Thumbs Up to The Brooklyn Star

Tonight, Jane, Georgia and Daddy had the chance to dine at The Brooklyn Star, an excellent restaurant. We were on a Festival walk-thru of the new Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. (The kids took detailed notes of the various event spaces and were really impressed by the wood-paneled / dual-mirrored elevators). Afterwards, we decided to go meet Bill, who runs the Star and taste the food. It was truly 1 of the best meals I've had in months. Every dish was perfectly executed and packed with flavor. Not only did Georgia have her 1st Oysters here, but she had 3 Pig Tails and loved the Tripe Chili.  See our order below. And big ups to Bill for taking care of us.

Birthday Month Comes to a Close

Everything is bigger and more with twins. More friends. More stuff. And more birthday. J and G wanted their party to be at the Little Gym, but there were capacity issues, so we had to have 2 parties. 1 on their actual birthday for friends and family. And 1 this past sunday for their school friends. Of course, there was disney, a babysitter-thrown party and cookie baking at school too.
Totally ridiculous, yes. But 5 is a big milestone. Needless to say, birthday time is shrinking from a month to a day next year (or a week if I wimp out).

Jane & Georgia Visit the Children's Museum of the Arts

CMA...This place is great. All about art. Totally interactive. We spent 3 hours, but could've stayed all day.
Stop-motion animation, handmade art costumes and a clay bar.
Top that off with a feature on Christo + Jeanne-Claude. Thanks to the staff for a great time!
